Today’s Best NHL Bets

Blackhawks +185 (0.5u)

Chicago is coming off a 5-0 shutout win over Ottawa as a +215 underdog on Monday. The Blackhawks find themselves in a familiar spot tonight against a Detroit team that’s on an 0-6 skid. A wiser bettor would suggest fading Chicago in this spot but the Black Hawks are 12-4 in the last 16 meetings with Detroit and 4-1 in the last five meetings in Little Caesars Arena. We’ll take a 0.5 unit shot with Chicago as they try and win its second game in a row.

Ducks +185 (0.5u)

Ducks +1.5 (-115)

There’s no secret that Anaheim ranks 31st in offense but the Ducks have had Vancouver’s number in the past. The Ducks are 12-4 in the last 16 meetings with the Canucks and have won seven of their last 10. They are also 5-1 on the puckline over the last six games against Vancouver. Another reason I like Anaheim +1.5 is because five of the Canucks’ last seven games have been decided by one goal or less. With Thatcher Demko playing better in goal for the Canucks and a not so great Ducks offense, this should be a lower scoring game but don’t count out Anaheim on winning outright.
