College Baseball Betting Stats After Day 1 (Friday, Feb. 17)

On Friday, the 2023 College Baseball season got underway with a handful on games. We gave out four winners (two losers) and finished plus 1.25 units. We also hit our lock of the day thanks to TCU’s dominate night.

The No. 15-ranked Horned Frogs put up six runs in the sixth inning and cruised to a 11-4 season-opener win over No. 10-ranked Vanderbilt.

I also tweeted out yesterday that my plan was to attempt to keep betting stats this season for all the college baseball teams. I live in a state where sports betting isn’t legal, so I have to use the lovely Bovada book.

They had 29 games on the betting book yesterday that included run line, money line and total bets. Going forward this season the games that Bovada offers is what I’ll track.

You’ll find on today’s updated betting spreadsheet that I added a few games that just had money lines that I was able to find at a different book. After about 10 of those games, I thought to myself I’m going to up until 4 a.m. everyday if I do that.

So, like I mentioned above, I’m only going to track games that have all three bets (run line, money line and total). It’s not as fun to just track money line because you can easily find that by looking up a teams record.

If you know of a book or books that offer more than what Bovada does, send a DM to me on Twitter (@KotaCapperPace)
