But there’s this challenge floating around the betting community called the Ladder Challenge.

Basically what it means is this:

  • Day 1: $10 to $20
  • Day 2: $20 to $40
  • Day 3: $40 to $80
  • Day 4: $80 to $160
  • Day 5: $160 to $320
  • Day 6: $320 to $640
  • Day 7: $640 to $1,280
  • Day 8: $1,280 to $2,560
  • Day 9: $2,560 to $5,120
  • Day 10: $5,120 to $10,240

Let’s get into today’s Day 1 plays.

3-leg parlay (+127)

Niagara -350

After a rough start to the season, Niagara has rattled off five wins in a row and are winners of seven of its last eight. The Purple Eagles are second in the MAAC and take on a Canisius team that’s 3-6 in league play (third worst) tonight. The Golden Griffins have lost four straight by an average of 11.8 points per game and the matchup tonight against Niagara will their third road trip over its last four. I think Niagara should continue to show why they are a top team in the MAAC tonight with a win at home.

Iowa State -17.5 (-110)

After losing to Texas on Jan. 15, Iowa State has rattled off two Big 12 wins over Oklahoma State and Kansas. Now they’ll hit the road to take on an 0-7 TCU squad. The way ISU can score I think this should be a 20-point plus win. TCU is ranked 247th in the nation in scoring, while the Cyclones are a Top 35 offense.

Boston -293

Boston took down Colgate earlier this month by 22 points and are trying to keep pace with Holy Cross, who is also 8-0 in the Patriot League. The Raiders are 4-4 in conference play and have lost three of their last four games. I don’t think the Terriers will get tripped up tonight on the road as their strong defense should be able to control a Colgate offense that ranks 266th in the nation.
