VFC’s Best Bets 5/31/22

I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend and more importantly, won some bets. I had a very bad day (but close to being great) on Saturday and I had no confident bets to give out over the past two days; however, it is a new week! We finished Friday 0-3 (-3u) and I am seeking revenge this week. I have three plays I love today so let’s get after it strong to start the week.

Nationals @ Mets o9 (-120) 1u to win 0.83u

The Mets have hit this number in seven straight games and both teams have been red hot towards the over as of late. The Mets are 8-2 in their last 10 to the over while the Nationals are 7-3 in that same time span. The bats are hot right now for these two teams and I think this pitching matchup of Corbin (6.30 ERA) vs. Williams (4.37 ERA) is beneficial to us here. I expect runs between these teams tonight.

Colorado Avalanche in regulation (-125) 1u to win 0.8u

We are definitely drinking a little juice on this one which I don’t love but I feel good about this bet. I am also on the -1.5 tonight but am much more confident in this. The facts are that the Avs are 2-0 in game 1’s so far in this postseason while the Oilers are 0-2. I like the matchup for The Avs in this series and expect better goalie play from them throughout. I expect that to start tonight with a regulation victory.

Value POD: Oilers @ Avalanche o7.5 (+145) 1u to win 1.45u

Let’s be real here, this is a LOT of goals. This play is more about the number for me than anything, but I do love the matchup. The most recent time these two teams played, they combined for 9 goals. They both have been scoring like crazy in these playoffs and the goalie play for both teams has been less than superb. I love this play so much because of the value. You can get o6.5 for -145 or o7.5 for +145. I don’t love betting games that the o/u is set at 7 for, but I can’t stay away here.

YTD Record: 7-10-2 (-2.43u)
