VFC’s Best Bets 5/28/22

We had an off day yesterday, but we managed to win a baseball play! The Avalanche let us down heavily and it is hard to compete with Jimmy Butler scoring nearly 50 points. All of that totals out to a 1-2 (-1.09u) day. We are back this fine Saturday with two plays and one BIG value play. Let’s have a great day!

Gervonta Davis vs. Rolando Romero o6.5 Rounds (-105) 1u to win .95u

With no UFC today, I am excited to take you all to the world of boxing for the first time since starting these daily articles. Even if you are a boxing casual like myself, I am sure you have heard of Gervonta “Tank” Davis. Since moving to lightweight, Tank has never been under this number. He went to a decision with Isaac Cruz his last time out and I think Romero is a more formidable opponent. I feel like there is a lot of hype behind Tank and I think Romero shocks a lot of people tonight. I still see Tank winning this fight, but not as easily as the books are making it seem.

San Francisco Giants vs. Cincinnati Reds o9.5 (-105) 1u to win .95u

This is a fairly straightforward play for me today. These are two teams that are over teams. The Giants are 25-18-1 to the over this year while the Reds are 26-18-1. You pair that with the fact that Alex Wood (4.82 ERA) vs. Vladimir Gutierrez (8.70 ERA) is the starting pitching matchup today and you have a perfect recipe for runs. I would be remise if I did not also mention that my girlfriend (who knows nothing about baseball OR gambling) told me this morning that the Reds over was the play today. We have no choice but to ride!

Value POD: New York Rangers 1-0 exact score 1P (+400) 1u to win 4u

I know this is a long shot, but I feel good about it for some reason. I like the Rangers to win tonight and the under, but I don’t see a lot of value in either so I decided to look at this play. This has been the exact score 2/5 games in this series and to get +400 on this seems like great value. It matches up with my leans on this game and the trend is there, so why not cash it?!

YTD Record: 7-7-2 (0.57u)
