NY Rangers -124
I know this line has moved a bit more New York’s way, I’ve seen it at -140, but I still like that. This is a matchup of a really underrated Rangers squad vs a Pittsburgh Penguins squad that trailed off at the end of the season because Jarry their starting goalie got hurt. The Penguins will have backup goalie Casey DeSmith in net. Rangers won 3 of the 4 regular-season matchups.
Rangers at home with a massive goalie advantage is enough for me. NYR all the way, Madison Square will be rocking.
Capitals – Panthers Over 6.5
This is a playoff over I really love. The Panthers scored by far the most goals this season. I don’t trust either one of the Panthers goalies at all. The Capitals can score, and similar to the Panthers I don’t trust their goalies. The totals in the 3 regular-season matchups were 9,7, and 9.
This will be a fast-paced fun matchup, and I expect this total to fly over.
Stars – Flames 1st Period Under 1.5 (+105)
The Goalie matchup is going to be Markstrom vs Oettinger. Both of these guys have been very good, and at times have been great for their teams. I expect with it being the playoffs this game will be very physical with the first period mostly being both teams feeling out how the other wants to play. Dallas has a knack for mucking up the game and making it a defensive battle.
Expect a very slow pace and a first-period under in the late game tonight.
