I am currently mourning the loss by the Cowboys yesterday, but in a way I’m glad. None of you can be mean about the Dallas Cowboys anymore until next year! Let’s move on.
2-2 day yesterday, not bad, not great. Let’s get HOT!
6 Point Teaser (-110): Cardinals +9.5 Over 43.5
I have a hard and fast rule when betting games in the new SoFi Stadium, always take the over. The stadium has #FastTurf and is essentially a dome.
This rematch is a divisional game, which means these teams have played twice already. In the first matchup, Kyler Murray and this electric offense beat the Rams in LA 37-20. The most recent matchup saw the Rams taking the W in Arizona 30-23. Both of these totals flew over the number we get for this game, 49.5.
The Cardinals are more than capable of pulling off this upset, with the teaser, we are now clear of a touchdown. If you’re really nervous about it you could do a 6.5 teaser and catch the Cards all the way at +10. I feel the Cardinals have what it takes to win a first-round playoff game, so I may have to sprinkle the ML at +155. Kyler Murray and the Cardinals struggled heading into the playoffs though, finishing just 1-4 in their last 5. I expect almost all the guys listed as “questionable” to be available for Arizona, which is big.
The Rams offense will no doubt find ways to score against this Cardinals defense. Arizona lost in their last regular-season game 38-30 to the lowly Seahawks. Playoff Matt Stafford being bad is a bit of a myth for me. First off most of those games were with the Lions, not many NFL QBs are taking the Lions to the playoffs in the first place. You look at Stafford’s stats in the playoffs and they really aren’t bad. With Sean McVay as the Head Coach, I believe the Rams will have no problems scoring.
I like both of these head coaches to find a way to score a bunch of points, especially with mother nature not playing a role in the game. Let’s go Points, and let’s go Cardinals.
Best of Luck!
