When you have two totals stopped by Estonia and Latvia, it’s just not been a good week. Thankfully, the international match week is over, and we’re returning to club soccer. With plenty of matches on the schedule throughout the day, here are a few top bets to get in before settling in for a day of college football.
TOTTENHAM ML, -105
If you’re able to get up early enough for breakfast with Harry Kane and Co., you’ll likely get a decent reward. Spurs are off to a solid start in 2021, and they’ve won all three matches they’ve played by a goal to nil. Crystal Palace has failed to win in 11 straight games against London sides, and I can’t see that changing here. If you feel bold, take Spurs to nil at +210.
UNION BERLIN-AUGSBURG BTTS, -115
Augsburg has been a real thorn in the side of Union over the past two seasons, having won or drawn three of their past four meetings against the Iron Ones. Augsburg has mostly played poorly in this young Bundesliga campaign, but it did find the net for the first time against Bayer Leverkusen and seems to be good value to find at least one goal in this one. With Union attacking well so far, goals should be easy to come by here.
NAPOLI-JUVENTUS UNDER 2.5, -110
Juventus and Napoli don’t score often against each other, and that’s before you throw in that Juventus is battling injuries (no Federico Chiesa), absent South American players not yet back from international duty and life after Cristiano Ronaldo. Juve looked lost in its most recent match, and things aren’t likely to be any better down several starters. This appears to be the kind of match where one goal will be sufficient.
MANCHESTER UNITED-NEWCASTLE OVER 3.5, +105
Speaking of Cristiano Ronaldo, he’s still got something left in the tank, and he should be ready to go as he makes his dramatic return to Old Trafford. Manchester United has never shown any issues with scoring in bunches against Newcastle, and the Magpies have conceded at least two goals in all three of their matches. If the Red Devils are motivated, there should be plenty of goals here.
MONTREAL-NASHVILLE DRAW AND BTTS, +310
The past two meetings between these teams have finished on terms, and Nashville have been the masters of the draw in 2021. NSC has finished all square in 11 contests out of 22 this season, including five out of eight away matches, and with that kind of history, I think this holds a ton of value.
